Why to Give

The Case Foundation, which likes us because we are paying very close attention to civic participation (and we like them because they are paying attention to the same), will match the first $5,000 in donations submitted through this website.

While we absolutely love the fact that our sponsors considered this a reliable and desirable enough venture to underwrite in part, we are still reliant on person-to-person donations. Without your help, the cost of a lot of this is going to come straight out-of-pocket.

For fun, here are some reasons you should consider giving:

  • Gas alone costs $3,000
  • Our web designer, the fantastically talented Arielle Walrath, is thus far unpaid and we'd like to put some money in her pocket
  • While we're freeloading couchsurfing our way through the actual tour, if one of the people we end up staying with turns out to be sketchy and/or crazy and/or skeevy or a combination of all three, even the cheapest hotel rooms will set us back

How to Give

You may use your credit card or bank account to make a safe, secure online donation using PayPal.

If you, like other super-old-fashioned people (typically defined by loving Douglas Coupland and Nirvana and/or being over 28), feel uncomfortable making a payment online, please consider sending a check to:
